Alienware M11X gets Core i7, Optimus

We’ve discussed that before, but that is now official: the Alienware M11X gaming laptop is moving up to Core i7 and Core i5 processors from now on. The Core Duo version will shortly coexist, but that is the end of the road for the original configuration. In our Alienware M11X review, the 11″ laptop was doing well in graphics applications, but was behind for non-gaming tasks. that upgrade makes the M11X very competitive in any situation and it should manufacture it even better at gaming. Despite the additional speed, Alienware doesn’t expect

the battery life to be affected. The laptop plus gets Optimus, NVIDIA’s technology that switches automatically amidst integrated graphics controller and high-performance graphics processor (GPU), it’s a must have on any dual-GPU system. that updates makes the M11X faster and more efficient in the same price and thermal envelope - it’s just great.
