Apple approves Opera Mini, no upgrades for original iPhone, Google references gone from iPhone OS

The only announcement that could have surprised me more than Apple approving Opera Mini for the iPhone would be Apple supporting Flash. I really expected Opera to be blocked, it will be cool to have an alternative browser.

Steve Jobs has reportedly responded to a report sent from a user of the original iPhone telling the person that

future updates won’t support the original iPhone. Jobs said at the iPhone OS 4.0 event that the old iPhone would no longer be supported.

Apple has removed all references to Google from its iPhone OS according to reports. Things may soon be looking up for Bing and its default iPhone search dreams.
