AUO 2.4-inch Transparent Multi-touch AMOLED Display

Personal GPS navigation devices are nice, but what whether we could have them integrated into your car’s windshield display instead? Display Taiwan is working on the AUO 2.4-inch transparent AMOLED multi-touch display that was demoed, and as can be seen in the video (after the jump), it is pretty much transparent; though we’re not certain whether you can safely drive whether your windscreen looked like that. It’s still a prototype at the moment, but the company is busy working on a

4-inch and 7-inch version. Do you think our GPS devices in the future will have their displays integrated into the windscreen of our cars? It would certainly construct stealing GPS devices a lot harder, at the very least.
