GE app finds mood lighting for your room, iOS4.1 fixes signal bars, iPhone 4 press conference Friday

GE has announced a new app for the iPhone called Mood Lighting Cam that lets you snap a picture of a room in your home. The app will next put filters by the image to show you what bulbs you need to get different lighting moods in the room.

The new iOS4.1 update has landed and it fixes the issue with

the strength bars displaying more signal than you have. The underlying issue with the reception of the device remains.

Apple is hosting a press conference tomorrow specifically about the iPhone 4 and sister site SlashGear will be there. I don’t expect a recall on the device; Apple will give out free bumpers before a recall is issued.
