gphone demystified

Everybody was a little disappointed yesterday when Google announced GPhone and it was not an actual phone. It turned out to be some sort of Open Handset Alliance that didn’t mean a lot to the end consumer. So we at Navigadget decided to translate their press release cartoon to something everybody could understand.

The new GPhone is going to support the following Google services/searches when it comes out in second half of 2008:

  • gmail
  • picasa
  • weather
  • google earth
  • music search
  • flight info
  • youtube
  • local search
  • traffic info
  • maps and directions

There you have it. And as we speculated before GPhone will have GPS so it can pinpoint your location for maps and directions and stuff.

All of that info is going to pop out of your light blue handset in 3D mold.
