HP Pavilion HDX 20.1-inch Notebook

[CES 2008] We would rather signal it a desktop replacement: with its 20.1” display, the HP Pavilion HDX is impressive at first sight. Playing with it, we liked a few things in specific:

Display: the dual hinge provides better ergonomics. The screen can be higher and closer than on a typical laptop.

Sound Quality: the sound was amazingly good… I was going to

say “for a laptop”. Amazing for a laptop, but, absolutely good.

Of course, you are not expected to move that laptop too often, but for someone who wants the ability of a desktop and the integration of a laptop, that is a serious option. Specification in the full post.

The Dell XPS M1530 performed as expected, closely matching the performance of the similarly configured HP Pavilion dv6500t, and falling slightly behind Apple’s latest T7700 revision to its flagship Apple MacBook.
