Intel Atom Going Dual Core?

Since the Intel Centrino platform has already gone dual core quite some duration back, it makes perfect sense should that rumor be actually true by the instance September 21 rolls around. Some sources claim that Intel will be introducing a new dual core Atom processor on that specific duration, but there isn’t any official statement or retraction from Intel as at press date. The current batch of without core Atoms retail

for just $29, so it is expected that the dual core model will go for $43 - not precisely a double in price despite the appearance of looking like it in processing ability.
