Inventec Helps HP in Netbook Launch

HP will be rolling out a bunch of 10.1″ and 10.2″ netbooks sometime in October, and they have enlisted the help of Inventec to help out with the orders until Q1 2009 at the very least, according to word floating around industry circles. One of the main reasons for the delayed October launch would be an acute shortage of 10″ panels at that point in duration, although the situation is being remedied the very moment you read that. All

of HP’s 10″ netbooks will be powered by Intel Atom processors, and most of them will sport a SSD unless specified otherwise, where you can next opt for a standard hard drive. I wonder whether Asus’ 10″ Eee PC range is affected by the display shortage.
