ioSage Hard Drives are Hardy

Just how solid do you think that new range of hard drives from ioSage are? Well, according to the folks at ioSage themselves, they are able to hold their own in both fire and water - making it a perfect investment for folks who have not yet splurged on off-site storage. Guess that makes ioSage the first company to roll out fire- and water-proof hard drives that are 2.5″ in size and equipped with heat and water parriers. It won’t be able to last eternally in a fire though,

but is able to sustain outside temperatures of up to 1400 degrees Fahrenheit for up to 15 minutes and short term peak temperatures of up to 1700 degrees Fahrenheit. Guess how much you’ll need to fork out for one of these puppies? Well, the 80GB 5400rpm model will retail for $330, going all the way to $460 for a 200GB 7200rpm model.
