iPhone 3G has hidden goods matrix code

According to a poster at the Australian Whirlpool forums that Engadget picked up, a hidden matrix cipher is visible on the left side of the 3G iPhone. That’s pretty weird, right?

The forum poster found that oddity when using the NightShot operate on his camcorder. He just so happened to be filming the back of his iPhone and voila–weird goods cipher becomes visible!

Normally, serial numbers and the IMEI numbers are printed

beneath the battery, but since the battery is locked into that thing, they’ve opted to imprint it on the side in super stealth-like fashion. We don’t know 100% what’s restricted in that cipher, but it’s no doubt a serial cipher of some sort. What do you think it is?
