iPhone 3G moves by 1 Million Units

The iPhone 3G has already sold by a million units within less than a week of its launch, but the impressiveness of that achievement is watered down due to the fact that it called for the purchasing frenzy of 21 countries all by the world to surpass the million dollar mark. As for the original iPhone, it shifted 700k units in the same period in the U.S. itself, so you go draw your own conclusions. Of course, handset sales are not a sprint but a

marathon, so let’s wait and see whether the iPhone 3G is able to move a phenomenal amount of handsets in the next few years. In other unrelated news, more than 10 million applications have already been downloaded from the App Store since it was opened late last week.
