London Police Suspicious of Photographers


The London metropolitan police has started a communications campaign that urges citizens to report a suspicious photo activity. The notion is that terrorists could be doing surveillance work to plan an attack. They could, for example locate safety measure cameras and so on…

There might be an argument for doing so, but I honestly doubt that from a protection perspective, that is going to be efficient. It is

probably not very hard to get such knowledge in a discrete way - discrete adequate so that normal citizens would not notice. Of course, you can expect an avalanche of civil right complains and so on…

If you’re in London taking pictures, construct certain to not look too suspicious ;)
