Luke Arm Gets More Funding

Looks like DARPA’s Luke Arm project, touted to be the most advanced prosthesis in the world, has just received a $31 million funding that will see it move even closer towards reality - i.e. being used by amputees. Just to get an concept of what the Luke Arm is capable of, it can wield a lightsaber and channel the Force through…wait a

minute. I’ve got the wrong script. The Luke Arm can be controlled naturally, providing sensory feedback while offering eight degrees of freedom - an unprecedented level compared to current prosthetic limbs. Hopefully the future commercialized version won’t hit the pockets too hard.
