Mio Names Lovebird

Mio has a new GPS phone in town, and it is officially known as the Lovebird. Features of that handset include :-

  • Windows Mobile 6.1 Professional
  • GPS and A-GPS support
  • Quad-band GSM/GPRS/EDGE
  • Samsung 2443 400Mhz processor
  • 64MB RAM
  • 2GB ROM
  • 320 x 240 resolution display

This is good, as more

and more cell phones these days feature GPS navigation systems. Seeing a company like Mio release their own cell phone ensures that they are trying to survive the future which will very likely see standalone GPS devices being phased out.
