Night Vision for cars

Flir Systems has just arrived at an agreement with BMW, installing its PathFindIR thermal imaging technology in those luxury performance vehicles from the German automaker. that system makes it a whole lot easier to drive around at night as it not only improves illumination by detects heat (such as warm bodies), displaying images on an LCD mounted on the dashboard so that the driver is more aware of his/her surroundings. While that system isn’t

perfect (the driver still needs to look away from the road but for a brief moment), anything that helps assemble our driving experience a little safer is always a good thing. Unfortunately, the $4,425 price tag will probably put many humans off as you can buy a used car with that kind of money.
