Olympic Comittee Allows Athlete Blogs. Will China?

The Olympic Charter says Olympic athletes are not allowed to do “journalism,” and in previous games that included blogs. New rules, however, allow blogging, as distant as athletes don’t publish interviews or images from “Olympic areas.” Olympic Committee president Jacques Rogge said as recently as yesterday that “athletes have the

right to freely express themselves…. [and] criticise China… in China in a public place.” We’ll see how the Chinese Communist Party feels about that in the weeks ahead. Meanwhile, it’s on! Who will publish the BEST OLYMPIC BLOG?
