Phoenix FailSafe System

Hitachi and Phoenix have gotten together to develop a new technology known as Phoenix Failsafe that acts as a safety net for users just in case their laptop is lost or stolen. that technology enables users to remotely track their disc, and should the need arise, to disable or cryptographically erase their hard drive while turning the thief’s hair white out of fear of the supernatural in the process. Of

course, a FailSafe agent must first be installed on an encrypted Hitachi hard drive at the factory in the first place. Guess that is one feature that most companies will want to look at, considering how boneheaded some executives can be when it comes to keeping their notebooks safe.
