Reaction Engine A2 Powered by Hydrogen

Flying isn’t precisely the greenest mode of transport, although that might change in the future. Reaction Engine has successfully developed the hydrogen-poweed A2 aircraft that is capable of hitting Mach-5 - that’s approximately 3,400 mph, making it somewhat the spiritual successor of the Concorde. What makes it different is range and efficiency, capable of ferrying up to 300 passengers from Brussels to Sydney before four hours are up. It uses a

2-mode engine that makes it efficient at low speeds as well as hitting top gear with relative ease. Now, Reaction Engine just has to find a method to produce hydrogen fuel on a large scale that does not emit carbon dioxide, making that a possible Holy Grail of distant haul flights.
