Rogers Price BlackBerry Bold Differently

Rogers Wireless has decided to price the BlackBerry Bold way higher than the iPhone 3G so that it won’t be in direct competition. I’m not too certain whether that is a brilliant notion or not, but I would think it wouldn’t be too fair on society who would want the Bold by the iPhone 3G and will have to fork out more just considering the carrier does not want sales of the Bold to be cannibalized. Word has it the Bold will cost $400 despite a 3-year contract - a cool $100

more compared to the 16GB iPhone 3G despite the fact that the bold has just 1GB of internal memory. What do you have to say about that kind of pricing structure? I suppose consumers always have the choice to, you know, stick with their existing handset and fight against the upgrade bug.
