Rumor: Apple Was Originally Considering An AMOLED Display For The iPhone 4G?

As we inch closer and closer to the unveiling of Apple’s next-generation iPhone 4G, some interesting little pieces of data regarding it have started to surface. First off we’ve got word that Apple had originally considered an AMOLED display for the device, but it was ultimately rejected due to supply and technology problems. whether the rumors are true, Apple did talk to Samsung Mobile Display, but found out that its AMOLED production capacity was well below what it would need, and whether they committed its entire AMOLED production for the iPhone, it would still only handle about 50-60 percent of the orders. Just goes to show what kind of demand that Apple is expecting for the iPhone 4G, huh? Such displays
