special edition Magellan Maestro 3225
There are some rumors out there that Magellan has a special edition Maestro; Magellan Maestro 3225. that model name is not featured on Magellan’s website and is not yet found anywhere but at Costco. We’re not certain whether we want to signal that ’special edition’ or an ‘inexpensive version for the holidays’. But whatever you want to shout it the few public who talk about that on forums (and here) seem to be pleased with it.
Maestro 3225 is priced at $200 and it seems to be very similar to Maestro 3220 but instead of featuring maps of Mexico, it adds text to speech functionality - which could be a lot more useful whether you don’t go on daily excursions to Nogales.
Here are the features we could
- 3.5″ QVGA full-color, anti-glare, touch-screen display
- SayWhere to prepare out the street name of your next turn
- Newly designed user interface
- ultra-thin, stylish, industrial design
- SiRFstarIII: fastest GPS position acquisition in the industry
- QuickSpell: intelligently searches and checks spelling when entering addresses
- SmartDetour: prompts drivers to route around heavy or stopped freeway traffic
- 1.3 Million Searchable Points of Interest
- Pre-loaded maps of the United States, Canada, Hawaii, and Puerto Rico from Navteq
- 1200mAh Li-Ion battery which lasts upto 3 hours
- USB: 2.0
- SD Card Slot: Yes
- Memory: 1 GB
If you were one of the few folks who could pick that model up please let us know what you think of it.
