Sub-$100 capacitive multitouch netbook displays reach on eBay

Cobbling together your own modified netbook to equip it with a touchscreen display has gotten a whole lot easier by the years thanks to affordable 9-inch and 10.1-inch resistive touchscreens that use a stylus or fingertip for input, but fast forward to today and the price of progress would be a capacitive multitouch display that costs less than a Benjamin by eBay. It seems that the seller of such capacitive multitouch displays claim they will work with a slew of netbooks types including Acer, Asus, Dell and HP among others. Capable of recognizing up to

two fingers simultaneously, it is slightly better than your resistive touchscreen display, but is clearly far away from other more advanced touch panels which are able to recognize up to 10 different inputs simultaneously. that looks like a case of getting what you paid for, eh?
