Telia Sonera changes iPhone plans in response to customer outrage

Potential iPhone customers in Canada have been up in arms by the plans presented by Rogers/Fido (and rightfully so). They’ve been trying every avenue possible to let Rogers know that they aren’t happy, but just how much is it really going to do? Well that story from Sweden might give you some hope.

Last month Telia Sonera announced their iPhone 3G plans, and they too were outrageous. The folks of Sweden rose up and let the company know

that they didn’t want to pay these ludicrous prices (smallest plan was $50 and included 100 minutes, 100 SMS and 100MB of data), and apparently it worked.

Telia Sonera has changed their ways and announced that customers can choose any of their currently available voice+SMS plans, and tack on an unlimited details plan for around $34. Lets just hope that Rogers decides to listen too.
