Mention computer processors and most public will probably rattle Intel and AMD off their tongues in a flash. Via continues to remind the world that they’re in the same business, too, although their market share isn’t precisely the greatest. The company has just launched its latest offering - the Isaiah CPU that claims to offer four times the efficiency of its predecessor despite having the same clock

speed, potential requirements and pin-layout. that won’t be used for gaming and other processor-intensive operations as it targets use in small, low-powered, machines that normally reside in offices. Perhaps the rise of smaller sub-notebooks like Eee PCs will see Via become a bigger player in the future?
