VOIP on the iPod Touch. iPhone coming next?

Someone has proted SvSIP, a VOIP application used on the Nintendo DS, to the iPod Touch and it apparently works. Just like many other VOIP software, the SIP protocol is used to carry voice by the Net. The author of the

conversion promised to publish screenshots soon.

It would be logical to think that it would eventually work on the iPhone as well.
