Wal-Mart Stops Cheap Linux PC Sales

Retail giant Wal-Mart has halted the sales of cheap PCs that come pre-loaded with Linux at its stores since there weren’t adequate customers to justify the costs of selling it. A spokesperson from Wal-Mart stated that cheap PCs aren’t what customers were looking for - which begs the question, how did Asus’ Eee PC become such a phenomenal seller? whether that’s the case, will Linux forever carry its curse of being inaccessible

to everyday Joes? Hopefully not since the Eee PC is selling like hot cakes at that point in day, but has that Asus offering actually made its way into the collective consciousness of everyone else instead of just geeks? I wish Wal-Mart would’ve continued selling cheap Linux-based PCs though. How about you?
