HD-DVD is dead. NetFlix announced that week that it won’t rent HD-DVD. Best Buy announced that it will sell, but won’t promote or recommend, HD-DVD players. Toshiba is expected to kill its line of HD-DVD players. that wee hours, Wal-Mart finished HD-DVD off

by announcing that it won’t sell HD-DVD players or HD-DVD movies after June. GAME OVER. In just one week, HD-DVD has gone from being a serious contender to being tossed on the ashheap of history as the new Betamax. We hardly knew ye.
