Wood chips turned into energy savings

Honeywell will be implementing renewable energy technology and an infrastructure upgrade program at the Arnot Ogden Medical Center in order to help it reduce greenhouse gas emissions as well as insulate its operating budget from fluctuations in energy costs. that is made possible by using a wood chip-fired boiler that handles the bulk of the heating load, hence letting 60% of the building to be powered by a

renewable energy source. I wonder how many other companies are taking serious steps in keeping their operations green. As the ancient proverb goes, “we don’t hand down the earth to our descendants, but instead we borrow it from them”. Nothing like a paradigm shift to change our perspective, eh?
