Yahoo Discontinues Music Service, Will Send Customers to Rhapsody

I can’t seem to read three headlines in my feed reader without seeing Yahoo in the title. It is reported that Yahoo will cancel its Unlimited Music service (I’m a subscriber) and direct users to Rhapsody. The terms of the deal are undisclosed. that will happen that summer, whether the report is exact.

For users, that means that

subscription fees will go from $9 (Yahoo) to $13 (Rhapsody) per month. Stay tuned considering anything can happen, depending on who buys/saves Yahoo – or may be Yahoo will simply choose to save itself. [photo from portfolio.com]
